Job Description

We are hiring a Lead Teacher (Caregiver) to join the Abacus Childcare team. The Lead Teacher will play a key role in formulating and implementing the curriculum, training Assistant Teachers, and maintaining positive relationships with parents, staff, and peers. Responsibilities include ensuring children's safety, maintaining documentation, and participating in special functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and update children's files.
• Handle any employee issues by liaising with the director.
• Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions.
• Be prepared for each day, follow schedules, and maintain classroom supplies.
• Lead staff by example, encourage growth, and provide positive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and center policies.
• Participate in parent events and conferences, promoting a positive environment.

Requirements

• Minimum CDA qualification and teaching experience.
• First Aid and CPR training preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle office duties and conduct orientations and evaluations.
• Familiarity with state regulations and personnel policies.
