Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Risk Management Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team at PacifiCorp in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our risk management team, you will provide critical analysis and support for decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily market price data and risk reports to support energy supply management activities.
- Monitor power and natural gas positions against risk limits, identifying and resolving breaches.
- Assist in responding to internal and external data requests, ensuring compliance with risk management policies.
- Review transactions for policy compliance and prepare periodic reports summarizing activity.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the energy risk management policy.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management or related fields.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively and present recommendations effectively.
Additional (Senior) Level Responsibilities
- Oversee market data preparation and reporting.
- Communicate with regulatory authorities on risk management.
- Lead projects to enhance energy trading systems and tools.
- Manage cross-departmental projects to improve risk management processes.
Additional (Senior) Level Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or related fields.
- Advanced analytical and communication skills with expertise in quantitative analysis.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of risk management policies, regulations, and market trends.
Preferences
- Advanced degree in relevant field.
- Fundamental knowledge of energy and risk management in regulated markets.
- Experience with automation tools and energy trading software.
