Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Risk Management Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team at PacifiCorp in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our risk management team, you will provide critical analysis and support for decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily market price data and risk reports to support energy supply management activities.
  • Monitor power and natural gas positions against risk limits, identifying and resolving breaches.
  • Assist in responding to internal and external data requests, ensuring compliance with risk management policies.
  • Review transactions for policy compliance and prepare periodic reports summarizing activity.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the energy risk management policy.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and present recommendations effectively.

Additional (Senior) Level Responsibilities

  • Oversee market data preparation and reporting.
  • Communicate with regulatory authorities on risk management.
  • Lead projects to enhance energy trading systems and tools.
  • Manage cross-departmental projects to improve risk management processes.

Additional (Senior) Level Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or related fields.
  • Advanced analytical and communication skills with expertise in quantitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of risk management policies, regulations, and market trends.
