Registered Nurse - Roswell Job Corps Center

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Career Systems Development Corporation's Roswell Job Corps Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assisting with the medical care and treatment of students in a school campus setting. In the absence of the Health and Wellness Director, you may also act as the acting Health and Wellness Director to ensure the well-being of our students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health evaluations of new students including vital signs, hearing and vision screenings, specimen collection, medication administration, and monitoring.
• Assist with scheduling and follow-up of medical appointments.
• Manage Chronic Care Management Plans for students with chronic illnesses.
• Serve as Co-Disability Coordinator to provide medical accommodations to students.
• Support the Healthy Eating Active Lifestyles (HEALS) committee and activities.
• Attend required staff training sessions and perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

Minimum: High school graduate plus State RN license with active, unrestricted licenses. Preferred: One year of nursing experience, Job Corps experience desirable.

Knowledge: Proficient in sound nursing techniques, effective communication, organizational skills, and CPR certification.

Environmental Demands: Ability to operate office equipment, work alone occasionally, collaborate with teams, read and write at a college level.
