Safety Officer-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive safety plan to ensure a secure environment for students and staff, in compliance with Job Corps regulations, OSHA Standards, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain positive relationships with co-workers.
• Develop and implement Center Safety Plans to ensure student and staff safety.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Provide training in fire safety, Blood Borne Pathogens, and other safety aspects.
• Analyze injuries and near misses to identify trends and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency drills and inspections with relevant parties.
• Prepare and maintain reports on safety compliance and investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of civilian, military security, or fire prevention and safety experience.
• Knowledge of standard security, fire prevention procedures, OSHA requirements, and relevant federal regulations.
• Valid State driver's license and CPR/FA Certification.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
