Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) - ART 6E Surgical Acute Care

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) to join our team at ART 6E Surgical Acute Care, located in the Ashley River Tower (ART) at the Medical University of South Carolina. As a registered nurse, you will provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients and families in a collaborative, educational environment. Our unit emphasizes nurse development through mentorship and experience, equipping you to deliver holistic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and holistic care to patients.
• Interact with the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
• Participate in educational and mentorship programs.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition using the Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS).

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred (unless current MUSC employee).
• Licensure as a registered nurse in South Carolina or compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
