Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician at Freeman Webb Company, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. This role involves a wide range of tasks including electrical repairs, plumbing work, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping, among others. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is willing to work collaboratively and ensure the proper upkeep of our properties.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various maintenance projects as assigned.
• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on appliances, fixtures, circuits, etc.
• Conduct plumbing work including cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Complete carpentry tasks such as door fitting, window repairs, shelving, and floor refinishing.
• Assist in custodial work and groundskeeping activities when required.
• Be proactive in identifying and addressing maintenance needs in units, buildings, and common areas.
• Maintain stock control of maintenance materials and ensure proper utilization.
• Participate in scheduled equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience or related field experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 100 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
