Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act. Responsibilities include monitoring patients as directed by the healthcare team.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Current LPN license in the state of employment
- Active CPR certification
- Knowledgeable about state laws and regulations
- Completion of clinical competencies
Essential Functions
- Meet the health needs of each patient
- Implement nursing care within scope of practice
- Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans
- Care for wounds, administer medications
- Monitor vital signs and document actions
- Other nursing duties as assigned
