Engineer III - Tier 1

Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Engineer III - Tier 1 at EarthScope Consortium in Socorro, New Mexico. This role involves providing oversight and leadership on technical geophysical projects of moderate complexity, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring projects align with EarthScope's mission. As an Engineer III, you will manage field operations across various locations, propose and implement technical solutions, and contribute to the design and testing of new systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on geophysical projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Set and execute project strategies, including logistics, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Identify and solve complex technical problems creatively.
• Integrate geophysical technology, firmware, and software.
• Generate detailed technical documentation and project budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and other departments within EarthScope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
• General understanding of geophysical data processing and system design.
• Proficiency in programming, data analysis, and team collaboration.

Additional Information
