Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. As a crucial member of our team, you will oversee construction cost management on a national scale, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to assess construction bids. The ideal candidate should possess a strong comprehension of construction documents with an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering, ensuring that construction costs align with project scope and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
  • Work with divisional leadership to determine appropriate scopes for clarification or revised pricing.
  • Provide pricing data and practices to divisions for consistent pricing structures.
  • Analyze bids in detail and report to the National Real Estate Project Manager.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
  • Research alternative materials and methods for cost-effective construction practices.
  • Review market pricing and provide pricing forecasts concerning market fluctuations.
  • Assist in training and developing team members for a motivated workforce.
  • Maintain document and data security within the area of responsibility.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.

Physical Requirements

  • Work may be performed in an office or remote setting, including travel.
  • Regular use of office equipment and occasional heavy lifting.

Travel

  • Domestic travel required, up to 10%.
