1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a Part-Time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently receiving, selecting, and delivering products to our stores. The position offers a starting wage of $23.75 per hour and an opportunity to work fewer than 30 hours per week. Our warehouse operations encompass ambient and temperature-controlled areas, and we provide thorough training and safety programs to ensure your success.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock effectively to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically for shipment.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Cooperate with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership for process improvements.
• Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to guidelines.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Capability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets.
• Frequent movement of merchandise and preparation for deliveries.
• Various physical activities including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Work in different temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment safely.
