CareerStaff Unlimited is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time contract opportunities in Kerrville, TX. The ideal candidate will have previous psychiatric or med-surgical experience and a strong focus on inpatient care. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders. You will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following established policies and procedures.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and carry out physician orders.
• Coordinate patient care with other disciplines for optimal outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately using computerized systems.
• Educate patients and families on health management.
• Assist with discharge planning and provide culturally appropriate care.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a valid State RN License.
• 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and RN license in the state of practice.
