Job Description

We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our patient-oriented, fast-paced medical practice in Dunnellon. Our clinic provides medical care to both adult and pediatric patients, focusing on delivering an exceptional overall experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the office, from patient intake to care delivery, under general supervision in an outpatient clinical setting.

Job Purpose

The Medical Assistant will deliver timely triage, ensure smooth patient flow to providers, provide stellar customer service, conduct initial patient triage, assist with direct patient care, and perform routine medical procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction and relationships.
• Stay current on office policies and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories and update charts.
• Communicate normal test results to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and exam rooms.
• Perform routine procedures like EKGs, immunizations, ear lavage, and sterile dressing changes.
• Administer nebulizer treatments and assist with suture removal.
• Give immunizations and therapeutic injections.
• Ensure adequate stock of exam room supplies.
• Follow safety, environmental, and infection control protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Familiarity with company policies and healthcare regulations.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training/certification.
