Job Purpose

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for various duties from patient intake to care delivery. This position involves providing top-notch customer service, patient triage, assisting with care, and executing routine medical procedures as per established protocols. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to enhance satisfaction.
• Stay updated on policies and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories and maintain patient charts.
• Communicate normal test results to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and exam rooms.
• Conduct routine medical procedures as per protocols including EKGs, immunizations, ear lavage, sterile dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, and suture removal.
• Administer immunizations and therapeutic injections.
• Ensure adequate supply stock in exam rooms.
• Practice safety, environmental, and infection control measures.
• Perform any additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Preferably a Medical Assistant or equivalent certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of business office procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to greet patients and handle phone calls professionally.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with providers and patients.
• Effective time management, problem-solving, and error correction abilities.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity.

Working Conditions

This role involves extended hours in both sitting and standing positions.
