Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and caring individual to join our team as a Vet Cadets Teacher at Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon Inc. As a member of our teaching team, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and supportive learning environment for children of veterinary professionals.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and respond to events in classrooms and play areas.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities for preschool-aged children.
  • Create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning.
  • Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress.

Education & Experience:

Must possess one of the following:

  • Completion of early childhood education credits at a college or university OR relevant teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to create a safe and welcoming environment for children.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
  • Exposure to playful environments and ability to lift/carry children when needed.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in the classroom.
  • Passion for fostering a nurturing educational environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Stand and be mobile for over 75% of the work period.
  • Bend, stoop, and sit on the floor frequently.
  • Work in playful and noisy environments.
  • Location: On-site at VRCCO.
