Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Monitor/Security employee to join our team at Glover House, a part-time role available for weekend shifts. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and supervising adult male ex-offenders within a correctional residential setting and the community. Your duties will include maintaining accountability of residents, ensuring safety and security compliance, conducting surveillance checks, and general office tasks. This role requires regular attendance, cooperation with supervisors and colleagues, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct residents, enforcing house rules and instilling good habits.
• Conduct security checks and enforce safety measures.
• Document incidents, reports, and medication usage.
• Participate in resident activities and assist with new resident orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in corrections or related fields preferred.
• Clearance of background checks, physical exam, and drug screening.
• Good communication and crisis de-escalation skills.

Working Conditions

This position involves work in a correctional halfway house, operating 24/7. Candidates must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including mobility throughout the facility and ability to respond to emergencies.
