Job Summary:

Plans and delivers professional nursing care to patients under minimal supervision. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, RN licensure, and experience preferred. Competencies include teamwork, communication skills, problem-solving, attentiveness, and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs patient assessment and documents in patient record.
  • Observes patients and reports unusual conditions to the provider.
  • Develops age-appropriate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Implements, evaluates, and revises care plans as needed.
  • Assists with patient and family education, Psychiatric care, and service excellence.
  • Demonstrates efficient time management, fiscal responsibility, and participation in hospital committees.
  • Maintains a safe environment and compliance with hospital policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Licensure: Wyoming RN license.
  • Experience: Experience in behavioral health preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain required certifications and licenses.
  • Skills in patient assessment, care planning, communication, and handling emergency situations.
  • Computer knowledge and ability to handle multiple tasks under stress.
  • Knowledge of developmental stages for appropriate patient care.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge and skill in various age groups.
