Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg unit at Porter Medical Center. Our team works in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care and achieving excellent clinical outcomes. As a Med/Surg Nurse, you will care for patients who require advanced medical attention, such as those with DKA and A-Fib, but who do not need intensive care unit level care. Our floor consists of 17 rooms, accommodating up to 25 patients, with private and semi-private rooms, including those equipped for isolation and negative pressure needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg unit.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure evidence-based practice.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Assist in the transfer of more critical patients to the ICU as needed.
Requirements
- Valid RN license and BLS certification.
- Experience in a Med/Surg or similar unit is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
