Railcar Repair Technician

Job Description

CalmHR Inc is looking for a Railcar Repair Technician to join First Response Rail Service, Inc. in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. As a Railcar Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting railcars, performing necessary repairs, conducting program work, heavy repairs involving welding and fabrication, and changing out railcar parts in the field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars daily.
• Execute all required repairs on the railcars.
• Perform program work as per provided scope.
• Conduct heavy repairs including welding and fabrication.
• Replace railcar parts on a work track.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with oxygen/acetylene torch, MIG, and stick welding.
• Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills.
• Reliable and able to lift up to 80lbs and walk up to 10 miles daily.
• Commitment to ongoing learning.

Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience. Per Diem provided for travel. Schedule is Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and holiday work.
