Maintenance Mechanic 2

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join our team at Scribe OpCo Inc dba Koozie Group. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in keeping our plant machinery and mechanical equipment in optimal working condition with minimal technical guidance. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on buildings and production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Additionally, you will assist in developing preventive maintenance programs, maintain effective working relationships, support teamwork, and uphold safety policies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain buildings and production equipment.
• Use a variety of tools and materials in machine and building maintenance.
• Notify appropriate resources for major repairs and document repair activities accurately.
• Install equipment and assist in machine repairs.
• Complete forms, records, and reports related to department projects.
• Collaborate with machine vendors and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrate flexibility through cross-training and helping other departments.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
• Perform light construction projects as needed.
• May work irregular hours for special assignments or unexpected breakdowns.
• May assist with electrical wiring and minor computer setups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in mechanical systems, electrical, welding, HVAC, pneumatics, and more.
• High School Diploma/GED or trade school/certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality methods and techniques.
