Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replacing air-conditioner filters and tending to HVAC systems.
• Maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ensuring the quality and appearance of the interior and exterior of the hotel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification required; additional technical training preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience desired.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with brand systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with light work and basic physical motions like bending and reaching.
• Good vision and communication skills in English.
