Job Description
Hornblower - City Experiences is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the Sous Chef and kitchen staff to ensure high levels of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction on our cruises. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and are detail-oriented, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff to follow all health department sanitation codes and maintain high standards of sanitation.
- Recruit and train new kitchen staff as needed.
- Ensure effective execution of each cruise to deliver a quality experience for guests.
- Participate in monitoring and controlling kitchen operation costs and inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment.
- ServSafe Certified.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
