Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team at Johns Manville Corp, a proud member of the Berkshire Hathaway family. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining plant safety programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in environmental, health, and safety in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure facilities operate in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive initiatives to identify and reduce facility risk exposures.
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Assess EHS structure and develop potential staff.
- Establish and drive continuous improvement in environmental monitoring systems.
- Manage hazardous waste and ensure proper discharge and waste management.
- Report and communicate HSE metrics and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards.
- Strong organizational and training skills.
- Leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to work well with upper-level management and production personnel.
