Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential involves providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. Key responsibilities include timely issue resolution, documentation, local access management, and performing installations. The role requires flexibility for 24/7 support and adherence to data center policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide resolution and escalation of facility and customer issues.
• Maintain a professional attitude and conduct.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document them.
• Follow support and data center policies and procedures.
• Assist with physical and logical installations.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and conduct facilities rounds.
• Manage badge access security system.
• Perform shipping/receiving processes.
• Support critical infrastructure management.

Requirements

• Passion for customer experience.
• Understanding of Windows and Microsoft OS.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and deadline management.
• 1 year of IT support experience preferred.
• Network+, Security+, or CCNA certifications desired.
• Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and work in cold environments.
• Capability to handle heavy objects and install cabling.
