Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a crucial 24x7x365 role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers. The role requires a solid grasp of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. This position demands professionalism in representing Flexential during customer interactions, troubleshooting technical issues, and adhering to data center policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while performing data center duties.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using Flexential's ticketing system.
- Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with remote hands work for customers.
- Support 24/7 operations, including working different shifts.
- Assist with physical and logical installations of services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
- Manage shipping/receiving and access security systems.
- Assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager and maintain inventory levels.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Preferably 1 year of IT Support experience.
- Minimum education requirement: AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
- Desired certifications: Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, work aloft, and lift heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in cold temperature environments.
- Capable of maneuvering pallet jacks and installing cabling.
Hourly Pay Range
The hourly pay range for this role is estimated to be between $19.33 and $22.67, subject to candidates' experience, location, and qualifications.
