Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated and independent Accountant, ideally a CPA candidate, to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including working with the general ledger, account reconciliations, and assisting departments. You will utilize federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and principles of governmental accounting to develop, review, and modify accounting procedures and policies. Additionally, you will assist in preparing fiscal reports, interpreting the Fiscal Control Act, and exercising independent judgment in completing assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • CPA candidate with up to two years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office practices.
